A significant day. Donbledore has just shown me the rail ticket that he still carries dated 31 May 2000 – the day he first met the Vicar. He now has a matching ticket from 30 May 2002 – the day he set the final deadlines for the Vicar Chronicles.
Roger Borer, the pony tailed beast of terror, has been guarding his puppies over the last few days – and baring his teeth at times. Tension is high, as I have set a date of 30th June, as the moment when we should cease to self fund the project. From that moment it would seem reasonable for some of the other "believers" to share a little of the risk.
It is not that we are out of money. It is that we need vindication.
I continue to have faith in Robert Quilty, the US producer (the only person who has invested hard cash in this project) and in Vivien's ability. In three weeks, we will finally be going to market.
At that stage the bridge between the possible and the actual will be 755 days long.
